MODERN THEATRE

Modern Theatre dance is often seen on stages of musical theatre productions which is known for its theatrical qualities. Dancers will experience dynamic fast jazz work, together with fluid contemporary and lyrical movements. ​To enhance the modern dance technique, we focus on limbering and strengthening of the body to increase flexibility, coordination and artistic interpretation. Modern is complemented by the foundations and technique learnt in ballet. ​

 

At Performing Arts Collective Limited we follow the the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Modern Theatre syllabus. Giving students the opportunity to take examinations if they wish to do so. Children can participate in Modern classes from age 5 years offering classes in all grades through to advance major grades.​
