TAP

Tap dance is an exciting theatrical class as students develop the rhythmical beating of tap and progress through the grades of the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) syllabus, by giving the students an opportunity to take regular examinations if they wish to do so from age of 5 years. We provide classes in all grades through to advance major grades.

 

Students learn basic steps and rhythms which helps to introduce them to this genre of dance by creating beats and sounds with their feet. These steps become more complex as the grades progress, including rhythmical patterns through chugging, sliding, shuffling and brushing. A wide variety of fun and innovative music is used to develop the timing and creativity.​​​
